    Veterinarian

    Dr. Janke grew up on a dairy farm in Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. After graduation he worked in Sedalia, MO for 2 years, a practice in Northeast Kansas for 2 years, then came to Rolla in 1989. In 1991, he purchased Forum Drive Small Animal Hospital. In 1996 he built the Rolla Animal Hospital.

    Dr. Janke and his wife Kim have been married for 30+ years and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. When he is not working with animals, he enjoys spending time with his kids and grandkids.

    Kathy was born in Middlebury, VT; primarily raised in Madison, WI and moved to Rolla from Oak Ridge, TN in 1985. She began working here in November of 1998. Kathy works as a receptionist and takes pleasure in serving people with their pet needs, as well as working with her co-workers and Dr. Janke. She is also our resident pocket pet pro. Outside of work she takes care of her own pets. She has 5 dogs and 1 cat.

    Office Manager

    Shannon grew up in the Rolla/St. James area and started working here as a high school student in April of 2002. Her favorite thing about working here is the diversity of tasks we do - no two days are ever the same. Outside of work she spends time with her husband and their two kids, enjoys biking, camping, and taking care of her own animals. She has horses, dogs, cats and chickens.

    June joined the Rolla Animal Hospital staff in 2006 with 20 years of experience in working with veterinarians. June and her husband, Gene, have 2 cats, Teddy and Olivaw. June’s mom and her dog, Mikey, also live with them. June likes all animals, but she has a special affinity for cats.
